Bala(kids) Vihar(joyful place) of Fort Collins, CO is a non-profit organization catering the kids of India community
in Northern Colorado. Focus of BalVihar is to educate kids about India culture, epic stories. It provides a forum for kids
to come together to learn bhajans, moral stories(amar chitra katha, panchatantra,ramayan, maha bharat) and parents to
identify strengths in their children and provide right opportunities to further strengthen those skills. BalVihar and India
Association of Northern Colorado (IANC, http://www.ianc-fc.org) work together in providing opportunities for BalVihar kids.
BalVihar currently has kids from 3 to 9 years age and meets every sunday. Kids start off with prayers and elementary
schoolers do one new bhajan every week. Kids later are divided into 2 groups - preschoolers and elementary schoolers - and
appropriate activities are conducted.
